Salik Shah Vol 1 (2025)

Salik Shah Vol 1 (September, 2025)

A bridge between century-old Nepali verse and today’s city noise. Written over twenty years between Kathmandu and New Delhi, these songs move from hard-rock mantras to hushed pop ballads, carrying love, exile, courage, and return.
“Aamako Sapana” threads Gopal Prasad Rimal’s classic with a contemporary answer to turn mother into motherland. Traditional bansuri and sarangi sit with modern orchestration.
“Hawa Ma Bhaye” hits like a vow. “Baljhera Mannko Ghau,” “Lagchha Kahile Kahi,” and “Maya Dharma” hold the ache and the promise.
“Putali,” “Arko Bhetma,” “Rajan,” and “Timi Udi Pari Bhayi” track the arc from first light to last prayer. For listeners who want melody with meaning.

Released under the label of Akhand Records. Available on your favorite streaming platforms!

Hawa Ma Bhaye

An epic hard rock anthem that fuses Himalayan devotion with high-energy modern rock. The song moves through rage, sacrifice, surrender and faith — the repeated refrain “Hawa Ma Bhaye!” becomes a warrior’s mantra of resilience. Ideal for listeners who love cinematic, fusion-driven music with both spiritual depth and raw, youthful intensity.

There’s anger here—the kind you hear when streets overflow and patience breaks.

“Hawa Ma Bhaye” means “I became the wind.” In Nepali slang, “hawa bhayis” = hot air, you’re useless. This song flips it. The voice dumps name, money, degrees, and polite rules. Burns old dreams. Swallows the poison. Claims sun and moon. Shiva energy meets street grit. Wind stands for prana, movement, and belonging to everything. It is both street rebellion and a sadhu’s vow. If you’ve been called nothing or boxed in by systems, this is a jailbreak. Don’t ask for permission. Become the wind. Become free!

[Verse 1]
[Verse 2]
[Chorus]
[Verse]
[Chorus]
[Verse 4]

Aamko Sapana

“Aamako Sapana” is a song of dream and dissent — a generational anthem that stitches together two poems nearly a century apart. It blends Gopal Prasad Rimal’s classic “Aamako Sapana” (BS 2000) with Salik Shah’s contemporary poem “Parivartan” (BS 2060) into a single, soaring statement. “Aama” is both mother and motherland: a vision for children who do not merely endure but rise. Traditional bansuri and sarangi colors meet cinematic strings and modern production to bridge past and present. Dedicated to the youth of Nepal, India and rest of the world.

Aamako Sapana

lyrics

Baljhera Mannko Ghau

lyrics

(Bridge)

(Outro)

lyrics

(Chorus)
(Chorus)

lyrics

Rajan

“Rajan” is a poignant and emotional song that tells the story of a relationship that has changed. The singer addresses her beloved as “Rajan” (a term of endearment, like “my king” or “my dear”), asking whose “evil eye” has befallen their once-sweet love. The lyrics lament how yesterday’s sweet affection and harmonious connection have turned into bitter words today. The song beautifully captures the unexpected bitterness that can enter a relationship and the heartache it brings.

Rajan

lyrics

lyrics
